WICHITA, KS - The Wingnuts fell 4-2 to the St. Paul Saints on Wednesday evening, dropping their third game in a row.
St. Paul scored the first run of the game in the fourth on a Marcel Longmire sacrfice fly, and then broke things open with a three-run bottom of the seventh. Saints' second baseman Tony Mansolino hit a two-run homerun off of David Cross to open a 4-0 lead.
The Wingnuts battled back in the top of the eighth, getting two-out RBI hits from Brenan Herrera and Vic Davilla, but St. Paul closer Tony Pierce came out of the bullpen to earn a four-out save.
Wichita continues their four-game series tomorrow night with RHP Gustavo Mata on the mound. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
