WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts announced their 2010 radio partnership with 93.5 FM KWME on Wednesday.
Based out of Wellington, KS, 93.5 KWME features "Oldies" music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. The Wingnuts' new radio home is a division of Johnson Enterprises which also owns ESPN affiliates based in Wellington and Winfield. Their FM signal extends well into Sedgwick, Sumner, Cowley, and Harper counties, as well as portions of Northern, OK.
"We are extremely excited about our new partnership with Johnson Enterprises", said Wingnuts' General Manager Josh Robertson. "This is a great opportunity for us to reach out to a larger fan base by improving our coverage area and increasing exposure for our business partners."
All 96 of the Wingnuts' regular season games, as well as any potential postseason games, will be broadcast on KWME. In addition to the Wingnuts' broadcasts, KWME will carry the 2010 American Association All-Star Game on July 27th and at least one game each day during the 76th annual NBC World Series in August. All games will also be available over the internet.
Terry Elliot and Steve Schuster return for another season of play-by-play for the NBC World Series and the Wingnuts respectively.
The Wingnuts open the 2010 season at St. Paul on May 13th. Wichita's home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18th versus Sioux Falls at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. Season tickets and packages are on sale now. For more information, contact the Wingnuts' at their new number, (316) 264-NUTS.
